Maureen McGeehan, MD
Maureen McGeehan, MD has been practicing allergy and immunology in the Richardson area since 2003. She grew up in the Dallas area and graduated from Lake Highlands High School before earning her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin. She then earned her M.D. from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, and then stayed there to complete a year as Chief Medical Resident before completing her fellowship in Allergy and Immunology.
She lives in Richardson with her husband of 30 years and has two daughters who graduated from Pearce High School. She enjoys music, reading, and travel.
Laura Lawrence, FNP-BC
Laura Lawrence is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who works alongside Dr. Maureen McGeehan. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at The University of Texas at Austin and her Master of Science in Nursing at Vanderbilt University. Prior to joining Asthma and Allergy Care Associates, Laura worked as a Registered Nurse and as an advanced practitioner in internal medicine.
Laura is passionate about patient education and helping patients improve their overall health and wellbeing. She believes healthcare is a joint effort between the provider and patient. She partners with her patients to ensure they understand their medical conditions and are comfortable with the plan of care.
Laura lives in Richardson with her family. In her spare time, she likes spending time at the lake, reading, and watching college football.
